During a podcast, Arjun shared insights on how Salman is perceived within the industry, commending him for his ability to connect with his audience through a robust body of work.
Arjun Kapoor clarifies that Salman Khan isn’t a bully
In the conversation on Raj Shamani’s podcast, when asked about Salman Khan, Arjun Kapoor said, “He is not a bully. For anyone with a tough exterior, it can be easy to misinterpret their demeanour. There’s a lot of warmth in Salman; it may not be immediately obvious, but you just need to give it a moment to surface.”
He further praised Salman’s approach to filmmaking. Kapoor said, “Salman has always viewed cinema as a medium for the audience, rather than just for artists. Even now, when he performs at stage shows or hosts Bigg Boss, it’s clear that these are platforms for the masses. He has dedicated himself to his audience and has cultivated that connection over time. Perhaps this understanding comes from being around legends like Salim-Javed, which he skillfully applied to mainstream cinema.”

Arjun Kapoor has a history with Salman Kapoor, having worked as an assistant director on Wanted. Additionally, he was in a relationship with Malaika Arora, who was previously married to Salman’s brother, Arbaaz Khan. Arjun also featured a song titled Superman in his film Tevar, affectionately titled Salman ka fan.
